Based on the 1941 Disney animated masterpiece Dumbo, this classic attraction lets you hop atop everybody’s favorite circus elephant as he discovers he can fly. What a great flight! Okay, everybody, now just hold your horses - I mean, elephants (chuckle) - until Dumbo comes to a stop. Everybody ready? Then get ready to take off with the world’s only flying elephant - Dumbo! Based on the character from the 1941 animated feature, the sixteen ride vehicles each resemble Dumbo and are mounted on articulated armatures connected to a rotating hub. Hop inside one of 16 delightfully detailed, Dumbo-themed gondolas and take off into the sky above Magic Kingdom theme park to soar with Dumbo as he discovers. To make Dumbo fly higher, just raise the magic lever right in front of you. Dumbo the Flying Elephant is an aerial carousel-style ride located at Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The ride on the left rotates clockwise, while the one on the right rotates counterclockwise. The two Dumbo rides move in opposite directions.
